Such friendly people to deal with. Excellent sails. They were more than happy to help with a slight (own goal) glitch with my mainsail (at no charge) which is performing admirably. Their workers appear to take pride in the company name, which has been in the same family for seven generations. So no “that’ll do” for them.

Great sail & customer service, the jib arrived within the 2 weeks on Wednesday overnight delivery. Fitted to the Cornish Shrimper Friday sailed to Clovelly for the
Festival & Gaffer racing in up to 30 knots.
Pleased to say “Blue Moon” with the new jib won this year’s Glass trophy ?

Dear Sam,
Just to let you know that we are very happy with the genoa that Jeckells made for us last winter. We just came back from a three week cruise of the Baltic, and it performed perfectly! Having the new sail really improved our upwind performance, and now having the roller furling rather than hanked on genoa made a big difference in changeable wind conditions. We faced some pretty strong winds (up to 30 knots) with no problems.
We will certainly be looking to Jeckells again when we next need a new sail (our stay sail is a bit long in the tooth but will hold out a year or two yet…)

I emailed 3 sail makers. Jeckells were the only ones to reply.
I took the sail down there today. When they heard how far I’d driven, they did it while I waited, which was unexpected but very welcome. It means instead of waiting a week or two, and worrying about being in for a delivery (or repeating a 5 hour round trip) I’ve had the job done and got the sail laced back onto the yard all in one day. I’m over the moon.
I dealt with you personally by phone and email, and spoke face to face with a young woman in the office, and with three chaps in the workshop. Everyone was friendly, professional and good humoured, and the job was done neatly. It was excellent service from start to finish.

I must thank you for supplying my new Cruising Chute for my Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 50 DS. You not only ‘created’ the sail under the cloud of ‘lockdown’ but also had it finished and ready for collection on the exact day as promised!!
The opportunity finally arose for me to try your creation and I can honestly say the experience was the best that I have ever encountered in 40 years of sailing!!
The sail looks absolutely stunning, it performed ‘well beyond’ expectations and the quality of finish was better than any sail that I have handled before. The lightness also made it very easy to handle even ‘single handed’.
On a gorgeous sunny day in the English Channel with the wind speed between 15 to 19 knots, our max boat speed reached just over 10 knots which is an unbelievable speed for a 16 ton yacht using such a light sail!! It is possible the speed may have increased even further had the skipper not ‘chickened out’ and bared away!!
I can honestly say I have never had such an enjoyable days sailing in my 40 years of being on the water and the cost of the sail was worth every penny and even If ever I only get to use it just for that day!!!

Dear Chris and all the Jeckells team
We just wanted to thank you for our new sail. It arrived here in Grenada last Wednesday and we had to find a broker to retrieve it from the airport for us and sort out the customs duty.
It is now safely aboard Swan – it has been a bit windy the last few days so we haven’t yet hoisted the sail but will no doubt do that in the coming days.
Thank you for the excellent service and for making the ordering, payment and delivery hassle free. We will be back in touch when the genoa needs to be replaced.
We look forward to some good sailing after hurricane season.
